I cannot download bank account transactions as the bank only allows 18months. I have bank statements. I need to manually enter the bank transactions. Should I enter them in an excel then upload to QB Online or enter them in QB?

Hi there, @BeeMellow — welcome to the Community.

You can manually import those bank transactions that you cannot download from your bank into QuickBooks Online (QBO). All you have to do is save them in Excel as a CSV file, then upload the file on the Bank transactions page.

Here's the step-by-step guide:

  1. From the Accounting dropdown, select Bank transactions.
  2. On the Bank transactions page, click the Link account dropdown arrow and select Upload from file.
  3. Locate the CSV file on your computer, then select Continue.
  4. Choose the correct bank to upload the CSV file to.
  5. Map the file in QuickBooks, then select Continue.
  6. Choose the transactions you want to import, then select Continue.

To properly format your CSV file and successfully import it into QBO, you may want to visit these articles:
