Hi there, Katherine.

The primary reason a financial institution doesn't appear in the standard search is often due to a specific URL mismatch or the bank operating under a different legal name in the Intuit database.

You can visit your bank's official website and use the URL when connecting a bank in QuickBooks Online. This way, we can ensure that the system detects your financial firm's original server and helps establish an effective connectivity between the program and the bank. These are the steps:

  1. Open a new tab in your browser and go to your credit union's online banking login page.
  2. Copy the exact URL from your browser's address bar.
  3. Go back to QuickBooks Online, navigate to My apps, and then click the Accounting Tab.
  4. Select Bank transactions and then click Link account.
  5. Paste the entire URL into the search box. This bypasses generic name results and points QuickBooks directly to your bank's specific server.

If the bank's name doesn't appear, even if you tried searching for the bank's other name, you can request support for your bank. Refer to this article: Find your bank or credit card account when you connect to online banking in QuickBooks Online or Self-Employed.
