I've never reconciled our credit card account, but have been posting to it. Do I have to start reconciling from the 1st stmt, or can I reconcile from a specific date?

Reconciliation is an important part of running a small business. QuickBooks Online makes this process easy for you, because you've got all your transactions from your bank account uploaded automatically through the Bank Feed. I'll help explain how this process works in QuickBooks Online. 

You don't have to start reconciling from the first statement, however the reconciliations must be completed in chronological order. If you have a total of 10 statements for instance, you can begin on the 2nd or 3rd statement, but you'll be unable to go back after to reconcile the first statement without undoing all of your completed progress.
