How to record a bac's transfer between bank accounts in qb on-line- help says there should be a 'transfer' opition in transactions but I can only see 'cheque'?

To record a BACS transfer manually in QuickBooks Online you can go to the '+' icon and 'Transfer' and the select the accounts on the drop-downs.

Alternately, if the payment is in the 'For-Review' section of the Banking tab you can record this directly as a transfer here by selecting transfer on the drop-down when reviewing the transaction.
