Question

I have messed up box7 on the return and need to delete it, how can I do this please.?

Welcome to Community, zoeg345.

 

You can make adjustments on your box 7 on the return but deleting it is not an option.

 

Here's how:

  1. Click Taxes in the navigation bar.
  2. On the VAT page, click Submit VAT for the period you are submitting for.
  3. Click Adjust in the VAT line that you want to change.
  4. In the Amount section, enter the amount of the adjustment. Enter a memo to describe the adjustment.
  5. Click Save.

Flat Rate VAT users are unable to adjust box 7 and may need to consult an accountant to be guided on what's the best way to handle this.

thanks for replying 

I tried that and it’s gone up in thousands and thousands!! It’s completely wrong I’m not sure what’s happened but I cannot submit it as it’s way out,

If the steps above won't let you adjust the amount, I recommend contacting our QuickBooks Care Team for further investigation. Here's you can reach them:

  1. Go to the Help menu at the upper right.
  2. Select Contact Us.
  3. Enter your concern.
  4. Click Let’s talk.
  5. Choose Get a callback. 
  6. Type in your contact info.
  7. Select Confirm my call.
