We use go cardless always changing due date to last day of week however payments are being collected too early or too late and I’ve lost customers because of it

The payment date on the invoices in Quickbooks are now marked as paid when Quickbooks initiate the direct debit, this is not the date the money is taken from your customers. The payment will be taken approximately 3 working days after the direct debit is initiated so it can be taken on, or as close to, the due date as possible.
