Question

Your system does not allow adding new customer if there is another customer with the same name already in the system! What’s going on??!! Please fix your stupid bugs!!!

Such bugs should not exist in the system like this. Terrible experience so far.

Hi info1019,

 

The system is designed to flag up when a duplicate customer or supplier name is entered, this is to prevent user-error creating duplicate accounts or assigning the wrong transactions against an account. 

 

You can enter the same customer name in the first and last name fields, but the internal 'display name' must be different to allow differentiation.

Why not put in a field for customer account number. then you can have the same name for several customers but they all have a unique number, just like you have in all good and modern accounting systems
