An employee has quit and requested their final paycheck and their W2. Is it possible to print out their W2 this early? If so, how?

You can run payroll for your employee as usual for their final pay. However, previewing and printing W2s for 2023 is not yet available within QuickBooks. The good news is that you can gather the information within QuickBooks by pulling up your payroll data or reports and then preparing the information outside the system.

To start:

1. Go to Reports, then Standard.
2. Scroll down to the Payroll section or find the report by name from the search field.
3. Open the report.
4. Filter the date range, then select Apply.

Once you have created the final paycheck for your employee, you can update the status in your payroll service.
