Are you able to add additional account detail types?

Thanks for bringing your question forward here in the Community. I'm here to provide some info regarding your question about detail types for accounts in QuickBooks Online.

At this time, you're only able to choose one detail type for accounts in the Chart of Accounts. However, this can be changed if need be. Here's how:

1. Click the Gear icon in the top right corner.

2. Select Chart of accounts.

3. Locate the account you'd like to change the detail type for.

4. Click the black drop down arrow to the right, under the Action column.

5. Select Edit.

6. Make any necessary changes and choose Save.
