Can i upload my contractors' W9 gif I already have a copy or must they upload it themselves?

You can manually add and enter your contractor's personal details. However, your contractor needs to attach the W9 file through an email invitation, finance233.

Make sure to check the option that allows your contractor to complete their profile when adding them in QuickBooks. This will enable them to upload their W-9 document .Since you already have the W-9 copy, you can manually enter and complete their details:

Follow these steps below:

1. Click on My Apps and navigate to the Expenses tab.
2. Select the Contractor section.
3. Choose a contractor, then click the Add option under the Detail tab.
   
   
4. Input the contractor type (Individual or Business) and enter their details.
5. Finally, click Save to confirm the changes.
   
   

When your contractor receives the email, they will have the option to upload a PDF of their signed W-9, which will then appear in the Documents tab within the contractor's profile in QuickBooks.
