Can you please help troubleshoot why my auto payroll isn't sending to my employee

I'd be glad to provide steps on how to troubleshoot the Auto Payroll feature not sending to employee in QuickBooks. 

To use Auto Payroll, make sure your employee and tax setup is complete, and you’ve run your first payroll. If you’ve done that and auto payroll still isn’t working, here’s a few things to check.

Your employee may be ineligible due to the following reasons:

• Employee’s pay setup has no default hours set.
• The employee is a commission-only employee.
• Employee isn't active or is a 1099 contractor.
• All employees are on a single pay schedule.
• All employees are set up on direct deposit, bank verification, and e-services are enabled.
• All employees are located in the same state and the company is not a multi-state company.

To set default hours

1. Go to Payroll and click Employees.
2. Select your employee.
3. From Pay types, select Start or Edit.
4. Enter the Hours per day and Days per week.
5. Click Save, then Done.

Please note that only hourly or salaried W-2 employee are eligible for Auto Payroll. You’ll need to pay commission-only or 1099 contractors manually.

Let's also ensure your company's direct deposit has the Connected/Active status.

Here's how:

1. Go to the Gear icon.
2. Click Payroll Settings.
3. Select Company under Bank Accounts.
4. You'll see the status of your direct deposit.

If the Auto Payroll still isn't working, I recommend contacting our Payroll Support. They have the tools necessary to conduct an investigation and fix the issue. In the meantime, you can run an unscheduled payroll and manually pay your employees.
