You can run a specific payroll report in QuickBooks Online (QBO), @hardencommunicat.
The total gross wage can be seen in the Payroll Summary by Employee report. In the first column of this record, you'll see the Gross Pay that means the gross wage, and it also includes the breakdown of each employee's total gross wages.
Then you can customize this report, and here's how to do it:
From the left panel, select Reports.
Go to Standard and then select the Payroll Summary by Employee report under the Payroll section.
In the Reporting period drop-down, choose This Year, then hit Apply.
Click Customize.
Under Employee, check the worker's name.
On the What to include drop-down, tick the Totals only radio button and check Gross Pay only.
Then click Run report.
Well done! The detail you need is now easier to see. As you can see in my screenshot sample, Fischer, Duncan's Gross Pay total for this year is $2,000.

I appreciate you joining the thread today, Kbabor. Let me show you how to get your employee's gross wages for 2023.
You can run the same report as suggested by Jovychris_A above to get the information you need. From there, set the date range to 2023 only, then select the employee's name you want to add by clicking on the Customize tab. For the details:
Click on Reports at the left pane, then search for Payroll Summary by Employee from the search field.
If you want to print the report, select the Export dropdown menu, then Print or save PDF. You can also click on this page for more tips while printing, modifying, and personalizing your payroll reports in our system: Run payroll reports.
