I'm here to ensure you can create the 940 and 941 payroll forms in QuickBooks Online (QBO), @kt1959.
In order to get the past form and submit it, you need to do it outside QuickBooks or directly to The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) and Social Security Administration (SSA).
Here's how you can access your tax forms:
Archive the form:
Sign in to your QuickBooks Online.
Go to Taxes, then select Payroll Tax.
Click on the Fillings tab.
Next to the tax form that you want to save or archive, tap on File.
Click on the period, then hit on Archive.
View the form:
Go back to Taxes, then click on Payroll Tax.
Click on the Fillings tab.
Tap on Resources, then select Archived forms and fillings.
Hit on the dropdown menu to filter the form type that you want to view.
Click on the form name, then tap on View.
However, if you don't have the option to archive, I'd suggest contacting our QuickBooks Online Payroll Support. They can securely pull up your account and help you get the best assistance for your concerns.
