How do I stop the "NJ Family Leave Insurance Tax" from coming out of our employees paychecks?

First, delete the previous paychecks that include the NJ Family Leave Insurance Tax deduction. Then, recreate the paycheck and stop the deduction.

 

To stop the deductions, please follow the steps below:

 

Here's How:

 

  1. Login to your QuickBooks Online.
  2. Go to Payroll, then Employees.
  3. Choose the employee's name.
  4. From Deductions & contributions, select Start or Edit.
  5. From Deductions and contributions, select the trash bin icon next to the NJ PFL item.
  6. Select Delete to confirm the action, then Done.
