I forgot to run payroll yesterday and ran it this morning instead. Will it process today still?

Your payroll processing depends on a few key factors, including the payroll service you’re using and the direct deposit funding timeline linked to your account, vmkoncul.

If you’re using QuickBooks Payroll Premium or Elite and have access to the same-day direct deposit feature, you can submit payroll up until 7:00 AM PT on payday, and your employees will receive their funds that same day.

If your account is set up for next-day direct deposit, payroll must be submitted by 5:00 PM PT one business day before payday to ensure timely processing. Submissions after this cutoff may delay employee payments to the next business day.
