Question

I let my quickbooks subscription lapse. I had no payroll during that time. I resubscribed in December. I can't access W-2s. They aren't showing up. Help!

Hello there, Malmech.

Let me help you navigate the process of accessing your W2 forms in QuickBooks Online (QBO) Payroll.

To better assist you, may I ask how long your account had lapsed before the resubscription took place? Was it a year or more? Any added information will be appreciated.

Please be advised that QBO Payroll keeps company data for 365 days after cancellation. While your information can be restored by resubscribing during this timeframe, the account data will be inaccessible once the one-year limit is reached.

However, if you're able to resubscribe within the specified timeframe, you can refer to this article on how to access and file your W2 in QBO Payroll: File your W-2 and W-3 Forms.

Feel free to reply to this post if you need further assistance.
