If I need to cut checks for two employees do I need different checks than the one I used to pay contractors

@erik29  I can't imagine why you would, unless you're trying to use QB's weird, overpriced check stock.

When paying employees, you don't necessarily need different checks than the ones used for contractors; however, it's important to provide employees with pay stubs that detail earnings, deductions, and taxes. 

 

If you only have Standard checks and don't want to buy new ones for two employees, you can use Direct Deposit with your QBO Payroll feature and print their pay stubs on plain white paper. Alternatively, consider using voucher checks for convenience and accuracy. They simplify payroll with separate stubs, reducing data entry errors, making them an excellent choice for employee payments.
