Is there a way to turn on a 'Run Payroll' reminder email for Quickbooks Payroll? (say an email is sent at 12 noon on the payroll submission date if not yet submitted)

Yes, QuickBooks Online Payroll has an Email notifications feature that helps you stay on top of your payroll tasks. This includes reminders for payroll submissions, setup, form filings, and tax-related deadlines found in the Payroll settings.

Please note that there's currently no option to select what time the reminder will be sent. Here's how:

 

  1. Navigate to the Gear icon, then Payroll settings.
  2. Scroll down to Email Notifications and click the Edit icon.
  3. Check the box for Payment Reminder to turn it on.
  4. In the Payday reminder type dropdown, select Send same day submission due or Send day before submission due.
  5. Hit Save, then Done.
