How do I adjust my NH unemployment tax report. qb online says I oh and the state of NH says we have a credit.

This discrepancy happens because QuickBooks uses your stored rate, but the state has applied a credit from an overpayment or an unrecorded rate change.

To align your account with the state records, please follow one of the two paths below.

If you have the official notice with the updated rate, you can adjust it manually directly in your Payroll settings:

  1. Navigate to the Gear icon and select Payroll settings.
  2. Find the NH State Tax section and click the Pencil icon to edit.
  3. In the SUI Setup section, click Edit, then Continue.
  4. Enter the new rate and effective date exactly as shown on your state notice, then select Save.

If you’d prefer our experts handle the adjustment, upload your tax notice to the Resolution Center. Our Tax Notice team will review the document and send an email acknowledgment to your Primary Officer or Admin within 3–5 business days. You can find detailed steps here: Send in your payroll tax notice.

If the discrepancy persists, I suggest connecting with our Payroll Live Support team. They can take a secure look at your account to provide a timely resolution.

Please reach out if you need further assistance with this setup.
