Question

Paying contractors: Both parties have completed setup. However, when I try to pay them, I get an error saying that I need to enter the EIN, which has already been done.

Error message instructing me to enter the EIN for the company. When I navigate to that section, it's already completed.

You can fix the EIN error and pay your contractor smoothly by performing some troubleshooting, Amber.

QuickBooks Online (QBO) uses your browser's cache and cookies to enhance performance. However, this stored data can become outdated or corrupted, leading to malfunctions in QBO. As a result, you may find yourself repeatedly asked to re-enter information you've already saved, such as your EIN. This issue occurs because the outdated data conflicts with the current information from your account.

I suggest clearing your browser cache to eliminate an outdated version of the page that affects QuickBooks' performance.

If the problem continues, try using a different compatible browser to see if the issue is related to your current browser.
