Quickbooks will not let me turn off automatic taxes even after I clicked the turn off button. How do I turn it off?

There’s no option to turn off the automated sales tax in QuickBooks Online (QBO). What we can do instead is to ensure that the products and services are set to non-taxable. This is if you’re not collecting any sales taxes from your customers.

To check, here’s how:

1. Select Sales, then Products and Services.
2. Locate the item, then click Edit.
3. Select Nontaxable from the Sales tax category section.
4. Click Save and close.
