We've printed our w2s and distributed them to employees. However the task is still showing as "Action Needed" How can we show that the task is completed?

I can provide a way to complete the task reminder for your W-2, joeyvs369.

 

We can archive the W-2s Form to clear notifications. However, some are only removed if you're filing with QuickBooks. Otherwise, they will fall off from your Tasks section after six months.

 

To proceed, follow the steps below:

 

  1. Go to Taxes, then Payroll Tax.
  2. Select the Filings tab.
  3. Next to the tax form you want to save or archive, select File.
  4. Select the period, then Archive.

Furthermore, you may save this guide if you need to make an amendment: Correct or change 1099s in QuickBooks.
