I understand how inconvenient it is when you are unable to submit payroll in your QuickBooks Online (QBO) account.
I've checked our records and there's no reported case where customers can't submit their payroll in QBO. To better isolate this issue, let's try some basic troubleshooting tests to figure this out. Open a private browser and try creating a paycheck. The private mode prevents the cache from being retained while the website is operational, which may cause problems. Here is a list of shortcut keys you can use to access one:
Ctrl+ Shift + N for Google Chrome
Ctrl + Shift + P for Mozilla Firefox and Microsoft Edge
Command + Shift + N for Safari
Then, try submitting a paycheck again. Here's how:
Go to the Payroll menu, then select Employees.
Click the dropdown, and choose one of the following options: Bonus only, Commission only, or Fringe benefits only.
Tap As net pay or As gross pay.
Enter any info about taxes or paycheck calculations (if applicable).
Choose or review the QuickBooks bank account to track your payroll, the pay period, and the pay date.
Select the employees you'd like to pay.
Enter hours, compensation, memos, or any other paycheck info as necessary. If you use QuickBooks Time select Review Approved Time.
Select Preview payroll.
Press Preview payroll details, Save for later, or Submit payroll.
If this works, go back to the regular browser and clear the cache to refresh the background process of your browser settings. But, if the same thing happens, use another supported browser. I've added these articles to help you manage payroll in QuickBooks:
