Question

Employment Allowance

Why are HMRC insisting that I have underpaid on employer NI contributions?

I have or at least thought I had ticked all the right boxes to claim employment allowance, the P32 report

shows the employment allowance as being deducted. Can anybody explain what I have done wrong,

its like sitting in a lonely cave in the dark trying to speak to somebody at HMRC Smiley Sad

Hi Beet, thanks for joining the QuickBooks Community - we'd be happy to check this further for you. 🙂

Does the most recent EPS show as successfully submitted on your payroll tax dashboard? You can access this by clicking Taxes > Payroll tax. The EPS is a cumulative report and notifies HMRC that EA is being claimed.

Hello Beet.

You can contact our Live Support team through this link, and then you'll be able to set up a screenshare with the agent on the phone so they can have a look into this more for you as you should have a payroll taxes tab in the taxes section.
