How to input employee bank details

I'm writing from the UK and have a new business, using QB online for the first time.

 

I inputted all my employee information ready to run payroll via BACS next week, but have not been asked to provide any bank details. How can we pay people without supplying their banking information?!

 

Am I being stupid as I can't find anywhere that allows me to provide this information??

Thanks for coming back to you, 

 

Yes, you can set up bacs payments on the advanced payroll. You can read more about it here once you have downloaded the file from QuickBooks you can then upload it to your bank and the bank would then set up the payments.

 

If you are wanting to move from standard to advanced payroll. You'll need to contact our Live Support team so they can raise a request up for you when you're ready to move over the payroll. We advise that you run the payroll first so when you are on the new payroll you're ready to run the next payroll.

Hi Angelamm,  Thanks for getting in touch with the Community, we're happy to help! We have 2 payrolls standard and advanced, do you know which one you are using? If you have advanced payroll it is possible to run the payroll through bacs, there are some steps that need to be taken to set that up which we have included at this link If you have standard it would be a case of arranging the payments yourself based on the payroll calculations for each employee.

Hi,

 

Thanks for your response. I rang your helpline and someone explained that BACS payments can't be set up on the standard service. She wasn't clear as to whether this was offered via the advanced service either, which wasn't particularly helpful.

 

Assuming that payments can be made via BACS in the Advanced version, would it be possible to upgrade at some point and, if so, how would I go about this?
