Thanks for posting your concern about submitting P32, gmcconville

Can you tell us exactly what happens with the P32 report? Is there an error message when opening or filing the report? This is for us to make sure we're giving you the right steps and information to sort this out.

In the meantime, follow these steps on how to generate the report:

  1. Go to the Reports menu.
  2. Search for P32 report in the Search bar.
  3. You can also go down to the Payroll HMRC Reports section and look for the report.

Here's an article that provides more details about generating this: P32 Report in QuickBooks Online Advanced Payroll.

I'd also recommend checking out this article for additional guidance when doing your year-end-related tasks: Year-end guide for QuickBooks Online Core Payroll.

Hi,

There is a message to say that "in order to submit this filing, either complete the setup task titled 'set up online filing' from the payroll overview page and/or delete this filing from the Archive page."

There is no task on the payroll overview page to set-up online filing. However, I have checked the payroll settings and the government gateway details etc are there. The p32 has not been previously filed so there is nothing in the archive.

The p32 is late because the client had to mover her subscription over to a newer payroll module and it seems to be that transfer over that is causing the issues.

Any suggestions how to fix this?

Thanks
