Payroll Tax Code deducting too much tax

Will this be the first pay period for this employee on QuickBooks? If so please check that you have entered the correct opening balances for the employee as this will impact the tax calculation. 

If this doesn't appear to be causing an issue, please check the HMRC calculator linked here to check the amount the employee should be paying, as this should match QuickBooks exactly.
