Based on the information provided, you can consider a payroll deduction to be applied to upcoming payroll.  However, given the fact that you've removed the paycheque for the advance given to the employee, I suggest reaching out to your accountant for the best course of action.  Removing the item can potentially have a negative impact on other areas of your books.  If you don't have an accountant, we can help you locate a ProAdvisor in your local area.
