How do I change the dates on the timesheets, I have set up my payroll schedule with cut off dates, but the timesheet dates will not change?

Welcome to the QuickBooks Community! I'm happy you've come here to seek support. I know how important it is to ensure that the dates on your timesheet are correct, and that they line up with your pay schedules. Let me go over how to change the date on time activity in QuickBooks Online.

First off, you can adjust your settings so that the hours entered in employee timesheets is copied directly onto their pay cheques. To do this simply navigate to the Gear icon, then choose Payroll Settings. From there select Time Sheets within the Overview section. Select Copy hours from employee time sheets and hit OK to save your changes. If you haven't taken this step already, it'll save you some time in the future.

Now, to change the dates on your timesheets. Here's how:

1. Navigate to the Reports page from the left menu.
2. Locate the Time Activities by Employee Detail report by using the search function or looking for it within the Employees section.
3. Select the correct date range and hit Run report.
4. Locate the time activity you'd like to edit, and click on the date or duration. Any part of the entry should open it up.
5. Click the Calendar within the Date field and select a new date.
6. Hit Save and close once you've finished.
