How do i file a t4 for a former employee

Thanks for reaching out to us here.  As a business owner, you need to generate T4-slips for employees, in keeping with government guidelines.  To successfully create and file the T4-slips, your QuickBooks Online Payroll subscription must be active.  

Follow these steps to reactivate QuickBooks Online Payroll;

1. Log into your QuickBooks Online account as the Primary Admin

2. Open your Settings ⚙ and select Subscriptions and billing beneath the your company heading

3. Look for QuickBooks Payroll

4. Select Subscribe

Note; If you do not already have a credit card on file, you will be prompted to enter Payment information.

You're all set and ready to prepare and submit T4 slips and T4 Summary in QuickBooks Online.
