How do i switch an employee from salary to hourly?

Welcome to Community!  QuickBooks Online Payroll is a dynamic way to pay your staff with confidence.  Editing your employee profiles can be done seamlessly.  I'd be happy to assist!

Here's how to edit an employee from salary to hourly;

1. From the left menu, open Payroll then Employees

2. Select the employee name to open their profile

3. Scroll down and hit Edit in the Pay types section

4. Use the ▼ dropdown menu to select the Pay type and Rate per hour

5. Complete any other fields as you see necessary

6. When finished, hit Save.
