QuickBooks Online makes it simple for you to enter and edit your employee information. This is so helpful, especially when you're running payroll with QBO. While you're unable to delete an employee, you can make them inactive, removing them from your active employee list. If you've made an employee inactive and you'd like to make them active again, follow the steps below.
1. Click the Employees tab from the left navigation bar.
2. Make sure Employees is selected at the top of the page.
3. Choose the drop-down list showing Active employees, select All employees.
4. Click the inactive employee.
5. Select the small pencil icon in the Employment section.
6. In the Status drop-down, click Active.
7. Click Done.
