When QuickBooks (QBO) rejects the Social Insurance Number (SIN), it may indicate that you entered the incorrect information, Rick.

Please check that the employee information of your employees is correct, as QuickBooks flags incorrect SINs. If you're confident the SIN is correct, the issue may be with its format. QuickBooks Online requires SINs in the format XXX-XXX-XXX, including dashes.

If you've already done this and the error persists, we can proceed with troubleshooting to identify if the issue is related to your browser.

Clearing the cache and cookies is an effective way to optimize its performance and potentially resolve the problem.

You can also use QuickBooks Online using a different browser to check if the issue is specific to your current browser.

To efficiently manage compensation in QBO, establish a payroll history to monitor records of wages paid, taxes withheld, deductions taken, and employer tax contributions.
