Welcome to the Community! Using QuickBooks Online Payroll allows you to manage all aspects of your business in one place. We understand that you need to do what's best for your business needs, so I'll explain what happens if you cancel your payroll subscription.
If you've run payroll in QuickBooks Online Payroll previously, cancelling the subscription won't delete the transactions from your chart of accounts. That data will still be in your books so that your records remain intact. When your payroll subscription is cancelled, you can no longer run payroll or generate T4 slips for your employees. You'll want to export your employee data so that you have it on hand when it comes time to submit T4 information to the Canada Revenue Agency.
