Hi dannydhofer-gmai,

Welcome to Community!  Having the ability to download your bank statements, simplifies the reconciliation process.  In QuickBooks Online your statement is based on the posting date.  However, these dates can be edited.  I'd be glad to show you how!

Follow these steps to make the necessary changes;

1. Open your Settings ⚙ and choose Reconcile

2. From the Account ▼ dropdown, select the account you want to reconcile
3. Review the Beginning balance. Make sure the beginning balance in QuickBooks matches the one on your statement. Here's what to do if they don't match

4. Enter the Ending balance and Ending date on your statement

5. When you're ready to start, select Start reconciling.

Should you require additional assistance, please don't hesitate to contact us outside of Community.  We'd be happy to help you in real time, so you can complete your reconciliation as soon as possible!

Schedule a Callback or start a Chat: click (?) Help in the upper right in QuickBooks Online > enter "Contact support" > hit Contact Us > provide a brief summary of your situation > hit Let's Talk > choose Get a callback or Start a Chat.
Social Media: Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
Support hours are from Monday to Friday between 9 a.m. and 8 p.m. ET.

If you have any other questions, feel free to reach back out.  We'd be glad to assist!
