Taking addition tax off employee - desktop version

I have an employee that wants addition tax taken off their cheques. I'm using the desktop version and so far all the answers I've seen look like they're on the online version. I have the extra amount in the employee profile as "additional tax" but my questions is if the amount in here ($100) is for the year or if it takes that amount off every pay period.

The Additional tax field in QuickBooks Desktop Payroll is a recurring, per-paycheck deduction. It is not a one-time or annual limit. QuickBooks will withhold that amount every time you run payroll until you manually change the profile setting back to zero.
