Can the GST setting be turned off as we have deregistered for GST and can't lodge PAYG with ATO through Quickbooks.

Once you have turned on the GST setting it cannot be turned off.  However, if you are no longer registered for GST then please follow the steps in the below article to adjust your GST Settings:
