How do I let QB know that I am not registered for GST?

Once GST is turned on, it can't be turned off. However, we can set the default tax rate on your settings to out of scope so you'll not be asked for a tax code when recording transactions. 

Here's how: 

1. Select the Gear Icon and select Accounts and Settings.
2. Select Advanced, then Accounting.
3. Select the drop down for Default tax rate selection and select Out of scope of GST.
4. Select Save, and then Done.
