Question

I imported bank transactions into QBO via a CSV file. It appeared to have gone through, but I do not see the transactions in QBO. Is it possible they are somewhere else?

My colleague and I reviewed this together and it seemed fine, but I looked at the Bank Transactions and the P&L and do not see anything. What am I missing?

When you import CSV transactions into QuickBooks Online, they don't automatically go to your profit and loss report. Instead, they first land in the For review, Categorized, or Excluded tabs.

Here's how you can check those tabs to find your missing transactions:

  1. Go to the All apps, then select Accounting.
  2. Click the Bank transactions.
  3. Look through the For review, Categorized, and Excluded tabs to see if your transactions are waiting there.

Additionally, double-check that your CSV file was formatted correctly. Even one incorrect column or date format can prevent the transactions from importing. You can refer to this guide for help: Format CSV files in Excel to get bank transactions into QuickBooks.
