Cannot send an email of my estimates. Keep getting a response that google is not secure use a different browser

The settings from your Google account affects the connection with QuickBooks Desktop. You'll need to turn on the less secure app access to get rid of the response.

 

You can follow these steps:

 

  1. Log into your Google account.
  2. Turn off 2-step verification.
  3. Turn on less secure app access in Google.
  4. Go back to QuickBooks and click the Edit menu.
  5. Select Preferences.
  6. Scroll down to the Send Forms tab.
  7. Select Web Mail and hit Add. 
  8. Fill out the Add Email Info section, then tick OK.
  9. Press OK to save your changes.

The Gmail couldn’t sign you in from QuickBooks Desktop article will serve as a future reference to your email security. If the problem persists, I also suggest turning off the 2-step verification.
