How can I acquire my Validation Code to register my Quickbooks Pro Desktop 2013?

Since the COVID-19 there doesn't seem to be anyone available by phone and the cat option is not available for me. Is there another way?

Let me help share insights about your concern in QuickBooks Desktop.

 

If you're referring to reactivating your payroll services this will require a service key specific to your EIN number. I'd suggest reaching out to our Customer Support Team. They have the necessary tools to access your account details and generate the key for you. 

 

Here's how:

 

  1. Click Help located at the top or press the F1 key.
  2. Choose QuickBooks Desktop Help.
  3. Enter a brief description of your issue and click Continue.
  4. Click Message an Agent.

 

Due to the outbreak, we have limited staffing and have reduced our hours to 6:00 A.M. -6:00 P.M. PT Mon-Fri. Rest assured, we will resume normal hours as soon as possible.

I just moved all my work over to a new computer. Installed QB 2013 that I purchased from a local retailer, entered the license number and product code, and then I called the 1-800 number to get the validation code. None of my current email addresses nor my 10 year old phone number match what Intuit has on file. The CS agent just keeps repeating that I have to give her the correct email, which I don't seem to have (over and over). I ask for a supervisor, she says there are none available. I offered to send her a picture of my disc and the license number with the hologram, she doesn't care and in the end just hung up on me!

 

I own a licensed copy of QB 2013 and Intuit refuses to let me use MY software. Other than breaking up a monopolist anti-competitive company does anyone know how to find this validation code so I can use my software and go back to work?

Let me share these insights about your concern in QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT). QuickBooks Desktop 2013 version is no longer supported and can no longer be updated.

I suggest reaching our customer support team again. If this is the first time you've installed a QBDT product or you don’t have the previous version. This way, they can check if they can generate a validation code for 2013. 

 

If it's not your first time installing QBDT, then you'll have to provide the email address you used to register the program.

 

Here's how: 

  1. In QuickBooks Desktop, click the Help menu. 
  2. Choose QuickBooks Desktop Help.
  3. Click the Contact us link at the bottom of the new window.
  4. Select Install as the topic.
  5. Scroll down and choose how you want to contact us. 

 

In case you can't access the Help menu, you can try pressing F1 to pull up the Have a question? window. Also, you can go to this page to contact us if the Help menu or F1 doesn't work: 

 

  1. Go to https://help.quickbooks.intuit.com/en_US/contact
  2. Choose QuickBooks Desktop as the product, then click the Continue as a guest button.
  3. Select Enterprise as the version.
  4. Choose Install as the topic, then choose how you want to contact us.

I need my validation code I've had my program for like 10 years but I just put it on a different computer and now I don't have a validation code

You'll need to contact our Customer Care Team during our support hours. They have the tools that can pull up your account and provide you the validation code specific for you. Also, make sure to have your license and product numbers handy.
 

Here's how:

 

  1. Open your QuickBooks file.
  2. Select the Help menu and then choose QuickBooks Desktop Help.
  3. Click Contact Us.
  4. Give a brief description of your issue, then select Let's talk, and then choose a way to connect with us.
     

Aside from that, you can start a chat session with our representatives, too. You can use this link for reference: Contact QuickBooks Desktop support.

 

Once you have the validation code, you can already activate the program: Activate QuickBooks Desktop for Windows.
