I can guide you on how to align your preprinted check, mvob.
For printing preprinted check that is too high, you can choose a letter further down the list to move the information down the page. For your guidelines, you can go to Printing too high section in this article: How to align preprinted paychecks.
If the same thing happens, you'll need to re-align your preprinted check stock and print it again. You can follow the steps and details in the Align and print your preprinted check stock section in the article I've provided.
Feel free to reply to this post if you have additional questions. I'm here to help.
Thank you for your reply. I did read the article. When I click on Payroll Settings, I don't have the Preferences option to go further with the fix. My Payroll Settings then has Email Preferences, Shared Data, Bank Accounts and Accounting. Completely stumped.
Thanks for the detailed information about what's on your Payroll Settings page. I can see that you're using Intuit Online Payroll (IOP), so let's get this sorted out.
To align preprinted paychecks, please follow these steps:
Go to Setup and choose Preferences.
Select Paycheck Printing Settings.
On the Paycheck Printing Settings page, choose the Preprinted QuickBooks®-compatible voucher check stock radio button.
Select either Print 2 stubs or Print 1 stub and click on OK.
Click on the Open Alignment Window button. If you're using Chrome and a blank page appears, or a message to turn on Chrome plugins appears after selecting Open Alignment Window, here's what you'll need to do:
• In your Chrome browser, select the Menu icon below the X button. • Click on Settings and choose Advanced. • Choose Content settings and click on PDF documents. • Download PDF files instead of automatically opening them in Chrome should be turned off.
Follow the onscreen instructions.
Click on Align Checks.
