Question

I'm trying to export my 2020 tax information into my turbotax but I can't find the button to do this. I did see it in the past, but now it's gone. I didn't export at all.

I did see this option in the beginning, but I still had to review my transactions so I did not export at the time. Now that I'm all set to export, I can't find the button anywhere anymore.

It's good to see you here in the Community, owendavis1234.

Let's make sure that your credentials for QBSE and TurboTax are the same. QuickBooks Self-Employed can only send info to TurboTax if they have the same login credentials. Sign in to your TurboTax account to verify. Then, let's try reviewing the information before exporting your 2020 tax information into TurboTax. Here's how:

  1. Click Home.
  2. Select the Tax Checklist next to your profile⚙ icon.
  3. Tap Review final tax summary.
  4. Select a task on the list. This takes you to the task so you can finish reviewing your data.
  5. Finish the tasks on the tax checklist.

To learn more about this one, see the Send QuickBooks Self-Employed tax info to TurboTax Self-Employed or Live article. If the same thing happens, we can press the F5 key on your keyboard to refresh the page. Then, try signing in to your account using a private or incognito window. This mode doesn't use the existing cache data and helps us confirm browser-related issues. Here's how:

  • For Google Chrome browser: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • For Mozilla Firefox browser: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • For Safari browser: Command + Option + P

If it works, go back to your regular browser and clear the cache to delete those temporarily stored files and browsing history. The overtime collection of data can create corruption, however, removing this should fix the issue. You can also use a supported up-to-date browser to roll out the possibility of a browser-related issue.

If the problem persists, please reach out to our QuickBooks Self-Employed Support Team. They'll pull up your account in a secure environment and help you with this one. Feel free to visit our Taxes page for more insights about managing taxes in QuickBooks.
