I'm trying to print 3-part checks (top part is the check, bottom 2 parts are "stubs")

Hello. I was recently forced to re-install my software and ever since, all my preferences are gone. I used to be able to print 3-part checks, but now the checks only print the top portion, and I can't figure out how to print the 2 "stubs" below. Can anyone tell me how to get those 2 stubs back?

I searched the "community" and found an answer about a selecting print options when the Print dialog box comes up, but there are no options to select. Please see attached screen grab.

Select show details from the print window, select the quickbooks tab, from the options tab select voucher.

After May 2019 upgrade our QuickBooks, we can no longer print 3-part checks (top part is the check, bottom 2 parts are stubs). Please advise how to reset the 3-part checks.

Good Day @yueyeh,

Thanks for joining in the QuickBooks Community.

For you to print your checks, you'll have to choose one of the styles, then try to print again. If the issue persists, you can try following some troubleshooting steps.

Here's how:

  1. Turn off the printer, restart your computer and turn the printer back on.
  2. Make sure the printer paper is loaded correctly.
  3. Select the Windows Start button, browse the Control Panel, and double-click Printers and Faxes.
  4. If the printer shows Offline, right-click the printer and select Use Printer Online.
  5. Double-click the printer and if there are print jobs displayed in the queue, choose Printer.
  6. Select Cancel All Documents, then close the window.
  7. Right-click the printer, choose Properties, and select Print Test Page.
