I work with a non-profit public radio station that uses an accounting program called SAGE 50. We wish to switch to a QuickBooks accounting program. The fiscal year is July – June. We have created a new company for the radio station in QuickBooks and input the financial data for July through September 2024. We need help importing the October, November, and December data from Sage 50 into QuickBooks. Who are the service providers who can help us with this?

I can help you with migrating from Sage 50 to QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT), @MAG617

You may seek help from Sage 50 for the preparation of the transactions that you wish to convert into QBDT. However, we have to consider those transactions that we can convert and cannot.

You can convert:

  • Account, Employee, Item, Customer, and Vendor lists
  • Account balances
  • Customer and vendor transactions
  • Employee profile and contact info
  • Payroll General Ledger account balance info
  • Paychecks (converted as journal entries)

You can’t convert:

  • Payroll transactions and employee year-to-date info (paychecks, year-to-date adjustments)
  • Payroll items used to calculate paychecks (hourly and salary payroll items, deductions, medical insurance, etc)
  • Individual employee wage or deduction information
  • Fixed Assets
  •  Work Tickets
  • Closed or partially closed Sales Orders, Purchase Orders, and Estimates

Once everything is set to be converted, check out this article and learn how to use the QuickBooks Conversion Tool to move your date from Sage 50: Convert from Sage 50 to QuickBooks Desktop

Moreover, you might want to visit these articles and learn what's new in QBDT 2024: What’s new in QuickBooks Desktop 2024

@MAG617

You may have 2 options:

1. Export data to XLS from Sage 50 and use an importer tool to merge it to your existing QBO account.

2. Purchase a 3rd party migration service. You can contact @Fiat Lux - ASIA for assistance.
