Thanks for reaching out to the Community, @allislandsdesign. No worries, I’m here to help resolve this.
Stored cache helps your QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE) account to run quickly. However, it can cause the program or features to act weirdly or become unresponsive once corrupted. I’d recommend removing that historical data, so you can access QBSE with a clean slate. This action also helps us to verify if it's a browser-related issue.
To start, open your QBSE account in an incognito or private window for testing. Here are the keyboard shortcuts you can use for quick navigation:
Press keys: Ctrl + Shift + N (Google Chrome browser)
Press keys: Ctrl + Shift + P (Mozilla Firefox browser & Microsoft Edge)
Press keys: Command + Shift + N (Safari browser)
Once logged in, check your account. If it’s no longer freezing up, get back to your regular browser and clear its cache. You can also use other supported browsers as an alternative.
If you need articles and tips in the future about managing your company’s data, you can visit our Support page anytime. You can also bookmark our Resource Center. It has free tools and bookkeeping basics you need to organize your records and ensure they’re accurate.
Please don't hesitate to add a comment if you have any other QuickBooks concerns. I’ll be here. Keep safe always!
