When I select the industry after installing the desktop app and hit finish it does nothing. Anyone know how to fix this

We can utilize the Toggle feature to change the industry type. However, please know that this feature is exclusive in QuickBooks Desktop Premier, QuickBooks Accountant (QBA), Enterprise Solutions Accountant (QBESA), and QuickBooks Enterprise Solutions (QBES) versions.

This feature enables you to change your QuickBooks Desktop edition from one specific industry to another. 

For QuickBooks Desktop Premier or QuickBooks Enterprise Solutions to another edition is located under the Help menu.

1. Go to the Help menu.
2. Scroll-down to Manage My License.
3. Click Change to a Different Industry Edition.
4. Select the industry type that you want.

For QuickBooks Accountant or QuickBooks Enterprise Accountant to toggle to another edition is located under the File menu.

1. Open your QuickBooks Desktop, then go to the File menu.
2. Click on Toggle to Another Edition.
3. Update the section from there.
4. Hit Next, then tap on Toggle.

 However, if you're using QuickBooks Premier (non-Accountant), the option to toggle the edition is unavailable. You have to reinstall QuickBooks for Windows using a clean install to change your industry type. This process replaces the QuickBooks system files on your computer. Thus, it allows QuickBooks to add new install files later when you reinstall.
