Iphone QB app which is updated to the latest version on an iPhone with the latest version keeps crashing.

Phone support couldn't figure it out so they gave me two phone numbers to call that are no longer in service..

In a quest to figure this out on my own l have spent many hours.. and I did the tollowing;

Offload App to clear the app's cache and data without deleting the app itself

Reinstall the app from the App Store.

Soft reset iPhone

Reboot iPhone.

Still doesn’t work.

Any suggestions?

Most crash-on-launch issues on iPhone come down to a stuck app cache, an outdated app or iOS version, or a temporary connection hiccup. Working through the troubleshooting steps below in order usually clears it up:

  1. Check your connection. Switch between Wi-Fi and mobile data to see if the app opens on one but not the other.
  2. Restart the app. Close QuickBooks completely, rather than leaving it running in the background, then open it again.
  3. Restart your iPhone. Power it off, wait a few seconds, and turn it back on.
  4. Reinstall the app. Delete QuickBooks from your phone, then download it again from the App Store.
  5. Update the app. Open the App Store and check that you're on the latest version of QuickBooks.
  6. Update iOS. Go to Settings, then General, then Software Update, and install anything pending.

Each of these clears out a different possible cause, so it's worth going through the full list even if one or two steps look familiar.

Hey there, @anodecathode

It's great to see you back in the Community! However, I hate to hear that you're having trouble with your QBO mobile app.

Let's try one more troubleshooting step to help resolve this problem:

  • Switch to a different wi-fi or mobile network (temporarily connect to a different network)

If the issue persists, I recommend contacting our Customer Support Team again. You can provide them with the troubleshooting steps you have taken and then they can escalate the problem.

Please come back and let us know if this works or if you had to get in touch with them again. We want to ensure that you get this taken care of as soon as possible. Take care!

Thanks for the quick reply but switching to a different WiFi & switching to mobile only (5G) didn’t fix it.

It won’t help.  I was on the phone with escalated support for 2 hours. No solution whatsoever.
