How do you connect to HMRC for making tax digital?

You can connect your QuickBooks Sole Trader Plus account to HMRC by enabling MTD for Income Tax.

Here's how to connect QuickBooks to HMRC:

1. Log in to QuickBooks then go to All apps, and then Income Tax.
2. Choose Overview.
3. Select Set up MTD (or Join MTD) and click Authorise now.
4. Log in to the HMRC pop-up window using your Government Gateway credentials.
5. Click Give permission to link the accounts, then follow the prompts to return to QuickBooks.
