Question

I have sent my clients final accounts to Pro Tax. They are ready for filing with CH and HMRC. What are the next steps as I can progress. First time digitally filing QB?

Review the Auditor tab in the Pro Tax menu for potential problems or warnings that could hinder the processing of the corporation's income tax return. You can also refer to the fix Pro Tax submission errors guide for troubleshooting. If there are no notifications requiring your attention, proceed to submit your return to Companies House (CH) and HMRC.

To submit to Companies House, here’s how:

  1. Go to Pro Tax, select your client, and click View return.
  2. In the EFILE dropdown, choose Companies House.
  3. Enter your Presenter ID, Presenter Authentication Code, and Company Authentication Code.
  4. Hit Continue, select the document, then click Submit.

To submit to HMRC, here’s how:

  1. Go to Pro Tax, select a client, and click View return.
  2. From the EFILE dropdown, choose HMRC and click Transmit.
  3. Enter your Government Gateway ID and Password, then hit Continue.
  4. Pick your document, select Next, then proceed to Submit.
